We strive to maintain, improve our golf courses, the beauty and rich character of our Clubhouse and the surroundings.

We are a from scratch kitchen, using the freshest ingredients, seasonal approach is reflected on our menus. We also offer unique culinary initiatives onsite foraging for mushrooms, fiddleheads, wild leeks etc.... The Toronto Golf Club also has a extensive onsite maple syrup production.

Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role based in Mississauga, ON, for Second & Third Cooks at The Toronto Golf Club. Responsibilities include assisting in food preparation, cooking, and plating dishes according to established recipes and standards. The role entails maintaining a clean and organized workstation, adhering to health and safety guidelines, and supporting the kitchen team during daily meal service and events. Collaboration with other kitchen staff to ensure food quality and timely service is a key aspect of the position.

Qualifications

  • Proficiency in food preparation and cooking techniques; ability to follow standard recipes and procedures.
  • Strong knowledge of kitchen operations, food safety, and hygiene practices.
  • Teamwork, communication skills, and the ability to work effectively under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
  • Attention to detail and the ability to maintain high culinary standards.
  • Previous experience in a professional kitchen environment is preferred, with knowledge of various cooking methods, ingredients, and equipment.
  • Culinary certification or relevant training/education is an asset but not mandatory.
  • Flexibility to work weekends, evenings, and holidays as required by the operational needs of the restaurant.
  • All candidates must have valid working permit in Canada
