The Thornhill Club is a year-round private club that offers golf, curling, fitness/wellness, tennis courts, and swimming pool/aquatics and activities. The Thornhill Club is much more than just one of Canada’s best golf courses with a deep heritage, the Club has proven itself to have an innovative approach to cuisine, the environment and providing multiple facilities for family activities. The Club is conveniently located in the GTA on Yonge Street (near Hwy 407) in Thornhill, Ontario.
As a result of The Thornhill Club’s commitment to providing its members with an excellent Club experience, we are hiring a Food and Beverage Supervisor to assist with the organization of the front of house and be an integral part of the experience for all food and beverage outlets. The Food and Beverage Supervisor is a year-round position with the responsibility of helping to lead an experienced team of professionals.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
- Maintain a calm and positive approach to working with your team during busy service times as well being available for all shifts (opening, closing, mid-shifts and weekends).
- Follow guidelines on all procedures, steps of service, Member and guest interactions and experiences.
- Thorough knowledge of all wine, cocktail and beverage menus throughout the year including all dining outlets, catering, Member events and any other special events that are requested.
- Work closely with the Food and Beverage Manager to develop hospitality operations to improve the culinary experience for the Members.
Qualifications
- Positive and hospitable attitude.
- Ability to communicate effectively with your team, Members, and their guests of the Club.
- Legislative compliance regarding Smart Serve, liquor licensing, first aid, and Health and Safety.
- Minimum of three years in a food and beverage server/waiter role.
- This position provides a strong hourly wage, commensurate with experience, plus mandatory gratuities *
