Landscape Gardener

Rideau View Golf Club is an 18-hole Private Golf Club minutes south of Manotick, ON.

We are looking to hire Full-time, Seasonal employees for our Turf Care Department. Ideal candidates will be available to work a shift spanning from Tuesday-Saturday or Sunday-Thursday. Regular working hours are from 5:30AM - 2:00PM Monday-Friday and 5:30AM - 10:00AM on weekends.

For Full Time employees: Our season typically spans from April 1st to December 15th. This is highly dependent on weather conditions.

For Post Secondary Students: Full time work will span from your end and start dates at school. Weekend work is available for students located in Ottawa year-round.

For High School Students: Weekend work begins at the start of our golf season, roughly April 15th. Once school is finished, Full Time work will begin until school resumes in the Fall. Once school resumes, weekend work will continue until the course closes (typically around November 1st).

RESPONSIBILITIES

· Maintain championship level playing surfaces including greens, tees, fairways, rough and bunker surrounds.

· Detailed work assignments around course accessories, natural areas and gardens.

· Performing bunker maintenance to tournament standards daily.

· Supporting course cultural practices and project work as required.

REQUIREMENTS

• Ability to work early mornings (5:30 AM).
• Available to work required weekends and holidays.
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
• Physically capable of completing required tasks.
• Ability to complete tasks with particular attention to detail.
• Previous Golf Course/Landscape experience is considered an asset but not required, training is provided with or without experience.
• Ability to work outdoors in varied weather conditions.
