Key Instruction Areas
- In-Person Instruction: Utilize our 8 private Trackman bays to provide data-driven lessons.
- Virtual Swing Analysis: Participate in our new Virtual Feedback Program
. We provide the bay, the cameras, and the leads; you provide the expert breakdown via a revenue-sharing model.
- Custom Club Fitting: Leverage Trackman data to provide professional fitting services for our members (for qualified candidates).
Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality, data-driven golf instruction in private Trackman simulator bays, customizing lesson plans to meet the individual performance goals of each client.
- Interpret and apply Trackman data (club path, angle of attack, launch conditions, spin rates, etc.) to provide clear, actionable feedback that improves player performance.
- Conduct structured in-person lessons for golfers of varying skill levels, from beginners to competitive players.
- Provide professional virtual swing analysis through Birdie House’s Virtual Feedback Program, delivering detailed video breakdowns and performance recommendations in a timely and engaging format.
- Utilize video capture and analysis tools to create clear, concise, and technically sound instructional feedback for remote clients.
- Perform custom club fitting sessions (for qualified instructors) using Trackman data to optimize equipment performance based on player metrics.
- Build and maintain strong client relationships to encourage repeat bookings, lesson packages, and long-term player development.
- Uphold a premium customer experience by maintaining professionalism, punctuality, and a welcoming coaching environment.
- Manage personal teaching schedule within the 24/7 facility access model, coordinating bay bookings efficiently.
- Collaborate with Birdie House management on scheduling, programming opportunities, and new service offerings.
- Support facility standards by ensuring teaching bays are maintained in clean, professional condition before and after sessions.
- Stay current with advancements in golf instruction technology, teaching methodologies, and performance trends.
- Represent Birdie House Golf positively both in-person and through digital platforms when delivering instruction or content.
Qualifications
- PGA of Canada, LPGA, or equivalent recognized teaching certification (required or preferred based on experience).
- Demonstrated experience providing individual golf instruction to players of varying skill levels.
- Proficiency using Trackman technology and interpreting launch monitor data to inform coaching decisions.
- Strong understanding of swing mechanics, ball flight laws, and performance-based instruction methodologies.
- Experience with video analysis software and digital feedback platforms.
- Ability to deliver clear, concise, and technically sound instruction both in-person and via recorded virtual formats.
- Comfortable working independently in a flexible, 24/7 facility environment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a client-focused mindset.
- Professional demeanor with strong organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to manage scheduling, client communication, and lesson flow efficiently.
- Knowledge of club fitting principles and equipment performance metrics (preferred; required for fitting services).
- Familiarity with social media or digital content creation (asset for instructors interested in building a digital coaching presence).
- Commitment to growing the game of golf and delivering a premium instructional experience.
Compensation
Hourly rate fee of $25 to rent a simulator, allowing the Instructor to charge clients their own personal rate.
