Premier Event Tent Rentals is a growing supplier of temporary tenting and flooring to the Greater Toronto Area (GTA) and beyond. Premier specializes in the creation of custom temporary outdoor venues. These venues are used for everything from Professional Golf tournaments to high end weddings and corporate events.
Job Description
As a Golf Tournament Installer, you are part of a dedicated team, assisting with event set up and dismantle of our tenting, flooring, and other materials up to the three golf championships.
This year championships will be hosted in the following markets:
- 2026 RBC Canadian Open – TPC Toronto Osprey Valley in Caledon, ON
- 2026 Rogers Charity Classic – Canyon Meadows Golf & Country Club in Calgary, AB
- 2026 Canadian Pacific Kansas City Women’s Open – Royal Mayfair Golf Club in Edmonton, AB
Candidates must have reliable transportation to TPC Toronto at Osprey Valley in Caledon, ON, and be able to arrive at the job site by 7:30 AM each day.
Responsibilities
Here are some highlights of what the job will entail:
Travel to each tournament venue to help with set-up, stand-by and tear down duties including:
- Building elevated deck flooring systems & at-grade plank and plywood.
- Assist with laying carpet on scaffold platforms and Premier’s flooring systems.
- Setting up temporary fencing, stage decks, event furniture, and tent installation.
- Handling/delivering/set-up of rented furnishings for each area.
- Work in compliance with the provisions of the Occupational Health and Safety Act and its Regulations, as well as all internal health and safety policies and procedures.
- Work with other members of company’s management team, and with all staff to promote and maintain positive workplace safety awareness and practices.
- Other duties as assigned, such as assisting with tent installation or dismantle with our operations teams.
Required Skills/Qualifications
- A mature attitude to foster a cooperative and safe working environment
- You enjoy working in a fast-paced environment, in the outdoors in varying weather conditions
- You are flexible, available to work early mornings and long hours during the week and occasionally on weekends
- Able to perform physical tasks which include repetitive moving and lifting of tenting materials in varying weights and sizes – weighing up to 60lbs/28kgs
- Basic knowledge in the safe and effective use of basic household power tools
- Basic knowledge of the game of golf with some golf course etiquette knowledge (preferred)
- Excellent communication skills
Travel/Accommodation
- For 10-12 weeks (April - early July) the successful candidate will work out of Caledon at TPC Toronto Osprey Valley to help with setup and tear down of the RBC Canadian Open
- For 4-5 weeks (end of July to end of August) the successful applicant MAY travel to Calgary, AB to work on-site at the Rogers Charity Classic at Canyon Meadows Golf & Country Club.
- For 4-5 weeks (end of July to end of August) the successful applicant MAY travel to Edmonton, AB at Royal Mayfair Golf Club to work on-site at the CPKC Women’s Open.
- Accommodations will be provided for the month of July/August during the period of the Rogers Charity Classic in Calgary, AB and CPKC Women's in Edmonton, AB.
- However, NO accommodations will be provided during the weeks working at TPC Toronto Osprey Valley in Caledon as the venue is considered “home-based” events.
Hours of Work
- Intended start date is Mid April – dependent on winter weather conditions
- Monday – Saturday 7:30AM- 6:00PM (times will vary throughout work term)
- Some weekend work will be required by all successful candidates leading up to each event.
Compensation
- Hourly wage range of $18- $19/hour based on skills and previous experience
- Retention bonus included
Job Types: Full-time, Fixed term contract
Contract length: 12-14 weeks
Pay: $18.00-$19.00 per hour
