Golf Course Grounds Personnel

Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Golf Course Grounds Personnel to maintain the beauty and playability of our golf course. This role involves performing landscape maintenance, gardening, and irrigation tasks to ensure the course remains in excellent condition for members and guests. The ideal candidate will have a passion for outdoor work, possess basic horticultural knowledge, and be comfortable operating various tools and equipment. This position offers an opportunity to work in a dynamic outdoor environment while contributing to the overall aesthetic and functionality of the golf course.
Responsibilities
- Maintain and care for the golf course landscape, including mowing, trimming, and edging greens, fairways, and roughs
- Use hand tools and power tools for planting, pruning, aerating, and other landscaping tasks
- Perform routine maintenance on irrigation systems to ensure proper watering schedules and system functionality
- Assist with planting flowers, shrubs, trees, and other greenery to enhance course appearance
- Conduct regular inspections of the grounds to identify and address issues such as pest control or disease management
- Maintain equipment through cleaning, lubrication, and minor repairs to ensure optimal operation
- Support general landscape maintenance activities including fertilizing, aeration, and soil conditioning
- Follow safety protocols while operating machinery and handling chemicals or fertilizers
Requirements
- Prior experience with landscape maintenance, gardening, or groundskeeping is preferred but not required; training will be provided
- Knowledge of horticulture principles and familiarity with irrigation systems is a plus
- Ability to operate hand tools such as shovels, rakes, pruners, as well as power tools like trimmers or blowers
- Strong attention to detail with a focus on quality work in outdoor settings
- Ability to perform physical tasks including lifting (up to 50 pounds), bending, digging, and standing for extended periods
- Comfortable working outdoors in various weather conditions throughout the year
- A valid driver’s license is preferred but not mandatory; reliable transportation is necessary for job site access

Pay: $17.00-$20.00 per hour
Expected hours: 20.0 – 50.0 per week
