Position Summary
Mississaugua Golf and Country Club is seeking a Housekeeping Supervisor to join our maintenance department. The Clubhouse Cleaner Supervisor will be responsible for overseeing the cleanliness of all areas of the Clubhouse, including dining areas, offices, washrooms, locker rooms, and external facilities (range hut, tennis house, halfway house), and coordinating with the team to maintain the highest standard of cleanliness.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform tasks in a professional, responsive, and friendly manner.
- Delegate and coordinate the team’s daily tasks and areas to be cleaned.
- Regularly inspect areas and facilities to ensure standards are met.
- Supervise and train the housekeeping staff to ensure exceptional and consistency of service.
- Maintain and ensure sufficient inventory of supplies for the team.
- Ensure all floor surfaces are impeccable by vacuuming, mopping, and sweeping.
- Perform regular dusting, cleaning of windows and surfaces, emptying garbage, and stocking washroom items & amenities.
- Coordinate and assist with setting up rooms for events and functions.
- Establish a bi-weekly schedule for the housekeeping team within allocated budget.
- Advise and update the Facilities Manager on team schedules, absences, and changes.
- Perform basic building maintenance and repairs, including changing light bulbs, painting, etc.
- Work in a safe and productive manner.
- Support the Facilities Manager as needed.
Work Environment
- Fast-paced environment – especially during high demand/peak times
- Some exposure to hot temperatures (items and surfaces), steam, chemicals, electricity etc.
- High end Clubhouse and maintenance Shop environment
- Some exposure to unpleasant weather conditions ie. rain, cold and hot temperatures high winds, extreme rainfalls, lightning etc
- Loud machinery
- Exposure to weed pollen, grass, trees
- Heavy lifting
- Exposure to chemicals, electricity and machinery that could cause bodily harm or risk to health
- Exposure to dirt and dust, paint, and stain fumes
- Insect bites and close contact with wild animals
- Work environment involves some minor disagreeable elements, e.g. upset members or contractors, and frequent changes between indoors and outdoors
Skills & Requirements
- Basic knowledge of electrical, plumbing, and mechanical systems is an asset
- Pleasant, respectful, and professional when communicating with others

- Commitment to teamwork and cooperation
- Work in safe manner
- Strong work ethic – hard working, reliable, and positive
- Work in an efficient manner while managing multiple tasks and priorities
- Extremely focused and attentive to detail
- Related cleaning experience in a comparable environment
- Ability to operate cleaning equipment and tools
- Experience performing basic building maintenance and repairs is an asset
