Classification: Full Time / Part Time Seasonal

(must be available to work any shift including early mornings, weekends, and holidays)

Compensation: $20 per hour, based on suitability and experience

We are seeking a hardworking and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Golf Course Turf Labourer. As a vital member of our grounds maintenance crew, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the overall health and aesthetics of our golf course. Responsibilities

• Assist with the maintenance and upkeep of golf course grounds, including mowing, edging, and trimming grass
• Operate a variety of hand and power tools, such as lawn mowers, trimmers, and blowers, in a safe and efficient manner
• Operate machinery such as mowers, utility vehicles and other turf equipment in a safe and efficient manner
• Perform routine maintenance tasks, such as aerating, fertilizing, and watering turf areas
• Assist with landscaping projects, including planting, mulching, and weeding flower beds and shrubbery
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of equipment and work areas
• Follow all safety protocols and procedures to ensure a safe working environment
• Collaborate with other members of the turf maintenance team to complete tasks and achieve department goals
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Turf Maintenance Supervisor

Qualifications

• Previous experience in grounds maintenance or landscaping is preferred, but not required
• Strong work ethic and willingness to perform physically demanding tasks in various climate conditions including extreme heat and steady rain and cold weather
• Ability to operate lawn care equipment and power tools safely and effectively
• Attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work
• Ability to work well independently as well as part of a team
• Flexibility to work early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays as required
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation to and from the golf course
• WHMIS Training will be provided
• Company Health & Safety training is mandatory and will be provided
