Conveniently situated just off Highways 400 and 12, Bonaire has been welcoming golfers from Barrie, Orillia, Midland, and surrounding communities since 1968. Assistant Golf Course Superintendent

We are seeking a motivated and experienced Assistant Golf Course Superintendent to support daily course operations with a strong focus on irrigation management and turf health. This role plays a key part in delivering high-quality playing conditions while ensuring efficient water use and system performance.

Responsibilities

• Assist in daily golf course maintenance and course setup
• Monitor, program, and troubleshoot irrigation systems (central control, pumps, valves, heads)
• Develop and adjust irrigation schedules based on weather, and turf conditions
• Inspect and repair irrigation components to ensure system efficiency
• Supervise and lead maintenance crew during daily operations
• Support fertilization, aeration, topdressing, and pest management programs
• Maintain records related to irrigation, water usage, and applications
• Ensure safe work practices and compliance with industry standards

Qualifications

• Experience in golf course maintenance (Assistant role preferred)
• Strong knowledge of irrigation systems and water management practices
• Understanding of turfgrass management principles
• Leadership and team supervision experience
• Ability to work early mornings, weekends, and outdoors in varying conditions

Competitive compensation based on experience.

Job Types: Full-time, Seasonal

Contract length: 36 weeks

Pay: $19.00-$22.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
