What You’ll Do;

The Technical Delivery Manager is responsible for end to end execution of the organization’s technology portfolio, ensuring initiatives are delivered predictably, transparently, and aligned to business and technology strategy. This role leads delivery execution across multiple concurrent initiatives, manages delivery resources, and partners closely with Product, Architecture, Business, and external vendors.

The Technical Delivery Manager owns delivery governance, capacity planning, roadmap execution, and delivery standards, while remaining hands on in removing blockers, managing risk, and driving outcomes across complex enterprise platforms.

Portfolio & Delivery Management

  • Own delivery execution across the technology portfolio, ensuring alignment to corporate and IT strategy.
  • Lead intake, prioritization, and sequencing of initiatives from demand intake through post implementation review.
  • Build, maintain, and evolve technology roadmaps based on system evolution, business priorities, and delivery constraints.
  • Establish and maintain portfolio level reporting, dashboards, and metrics covering delivery progress, budget, risks, dependencies, and outcomes.
  • Ensure delivery consistency, traceability, and visibility across all initiatives.

Delivery Leadership & Execution

  • Lead and coordinate delivery execution across multiple teams, business units, and vendors.
  • Mobilize programs and projects, including scope definition, planning, budgeting, resourcing, and onboarding.
  • Remove delivery blockers, manage interdependencies, and escalate issues when required.
  • Ensure delivery plans are realistic, capacity aligned, and execution focused.
  • Oversee backlogs and ensure they are effectively fed into delivery planning and execution

Agile Practice Ownership

  • Apply Agile, hybrid, or waterfall delivery approaches as appropriate to initiative complexity and risk.
  • Support consistent delivery standards, frameworks, and lifecycle practices across teams.
  • Partner with Product, Architecture, and Technology leaders to improve delivery maturity and predictability.
  • Drive adoption of delivery tooling, reporting, and metrics.

Stakeholder & Governance Management

  • Maintain clear, regular communication with senior stakeholders on progress, risks, tradeoffs, and decisions.
  • Prepare and facilitate Steering Committees and senior governance forums as required.
  • Ensure delivery transparency and alignment across Technology and Business stakeholders.
  • Coordinate delivery effort across multiple banners and business units

Vendor & Partner Management

  • Manage external delivery partners, including performance tracking, delivery quality, and adherence to timelines and standards.
  • Support contract, budget, and capacity oversight for vendor led initiatives.
  • Manage escalations and ensure vendors are integrated into SLG delivery governance.

Risk, Change & Operational Management

  • Identify, track, and mitigate delivery risks across programs and the portfolio.
  • Ensure structured change management, operational readiness, and post implementation review.
  • Champion quality, documentation, and knowledge transfer as part of delivery completion.

People Leadership

  • Directly manage or coordinate Project Managers, Scrum Masters, and delivery resources (including contractors).
  • Support performance management, coaching, and development of delivery resources.
  • Promote accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement within the delivery function.

What You’ll Bring;

  • 7–10+ years of experience in technical delivery, program management, or portfolio delivery roles.
  • Proven experience delivering complex, cross functional technology initiatives at an enterprise level.
  • Strong understanding of SDLC, Agile and hybrid delivery models, and delivery governance.
  • Demonstrated experience with capacity planning, roadmap execution, and portfolio reporting.
  • Experience managing vendors and third party delivery partners.
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related discipline (or equivalent experience).
  • Project management or Agile certification (PMP, PMI ACP, CSM, SAFe, or equivalent).
  • Experience in retail, ecommerce, or omnichannel environments.
  • Hands on delivery experience with enterprise platforms such as ERP, POS, cloud platforms, and integrations.
  • Prior experience with Microsoft D365 Finance & Operations and Salesforce ecosystems.
  • Experience building or evolving delivery practices, frameworks, or PMO functions.
  • Strong executive communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to influence without authority in complex, matrixed environments.
