OVERVIEW

About Us

Position Overview

  • Provide support to the broader Partnerships team while working with Golf Canada’s sponsors.
  • Support the development and execution of partner service plans per their respective agreements, including the timely and accurate fulfillment of all contractual obligations.
  • Plan and execute the Honorary Observer and Inside the Ropes programs, Champion’s Reception invitations and Monday After the Open Golf Experience at both Professional Championship events.
  • Correspond with Golf Canada’s Partners as directed by Senior Manager, Partnerships on agreement deliverables, brand approvals, event invitations and various partner-led initiatives.
  • Maintain high quality, up to date materials on all assigned properties.
  • Prepare partner fulfillment reports and establish templates (i.e. gathering and populating metrics, results, photos, etc.).
  • Provide administrative support and other duties as assigned.
  • Some travel may be required.
  • Weekend work and longer hours will be required leading up to, and during, the RBC Canadian

Open and CPKC Women’s Open.

PRIMARY DUTIES

1. Administrative Support 30%

  • Responsible for tracking various partner assets
  • Compile and catalogue partner logos, images, branding samples, and digital assets in preparation for the Championship events.
  • Assist with fulfilling orders including, but not limited to, gifting, event assets, departmental needs, etc. This includes sending and receiving shipments and managing inventory. Heavy lifting may be required.
  • Filing, binding, printing, photocopying, and other duties as assigned.

2. Ancillary Program/Event Execution 30%

  • Lead the planning and execution of the Honorary Observer and Inside the Ropes programs, Champion’s Reception invitations and Monday After the Open Golf Experience at the respective Opens.
  • Includes preparing written communications and invitations for program participants, working with PGA TOUR and LPGA TOUR Officials on program guidelines, working with vendors to source and order program gifting and prizing, working with host clubs, etc.

3. Professional Championships Support 40%

  • Supporting the broader Partnerships team on all things RBC Canadian Open and CPKC Women’s Open.
  • This includes assisting with any and all partner needs leading up to, and during, each event.

REQUIRED SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, & ABILITIES

  • Post-secondary degree or diploma in Sport Management, Event Marketing, or Business-related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Must posses’ strong attention to detail, professionalism, punctuality, and the ability to work well both individually and as part of a team.
  • Must possess strong critical thinking skills, resourcefulness, and proven ability to problem solve.
  • Strong organizational skills and administration skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills.
  • Strong decision making and conflict resolution abilities.
  • High Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite including advanced MS Excel skills.
  • Must have access to personal transportation.
  • This position will require a minimum of 2 days in office per week throughout the entire term.
  • Bilingual (English and French) is not required but considered an asset.
  • Golf knowledge or experience is not required but considered an asset.
