Seasonal Grounds Person

Position Overview

Capilano Golf and Country Club is currently seeking enthusiastic and motivated individuals to fill multiple Seasonal Grounds Person positions on the Course and Grounds team for the 2026 Summer season. Working outdoors in an active environment, the successful candidates will be responsible for the general maintenance and the upkeep of high-quality golf course surfaces and landscape areas within the 165-acre property. Capilano Golf and Country Club is a private 18-hole facility established in 1938 with esteemed Canadian golf course architect Stanley Thompson and continually ranked in the top 10 golf courses in Canada. Located in West Vancouver, BC the course is surrounded by and with excellent access to the North shore Mountain Range and located only 20 minutes from downtown Vancouver

Main Responsibilities include

• Walk mowing greens, tees, and approaches.
• Small and large equipment operation (based on experience).
• Raking and maintaining bunkers and bunker surrounds.
• General golf course maintenance related tasks, as assigned by the Superintendent and Assistant Superintendents.

Qualifications

• Previous golf course or landscape maintenance experience is an asset but not required.
• Basic knowledge of the game of golf is preferred but not required.
• Valid BC Drivers License or equivalent.

Schedule

Full and Part-time seasonal positions available between the months of March and October. We can be somewhat flexible with schedules and start / end dates. Weekday shifts are 8 hours, and weekend shifts are 4-5 hours. Typical schedules include:

• Full time seasonal - Tuesday - Saturday or Sunday - Thursday shifts, 36-40 hrs / week
• Part time seasonal - Friday, Saturday, Sunday & Monday, 24 hrs / week

Please Note: Start times are early morning (6AM) and reliable transportation is required as no public transit is available

Contract length: 4-6 months

Pay: $21.98 per hour
