Position: Assistant / Associate / Apprentice Golf Profssional

The Canadian Golf & Country Club, located just west of Stittsville just off Highway 7, is one of the premier golf destinations in the Ottawa region. With 27 holes across two distinct courses, it is renowned for excellent course condition, a fun layout and well run charity and corporate golf tournaments. The facility also boasts Ottawa’s most advanced practice area, featuring large target greens, extensive putting and chipping spaces, and a dedicated practice hole.

The Canadian is home to a top‑tier golf academy with experienced professionals providing lessons and custom club fitting services for all skill levels.

Role Description

This is a full‑time, on‑site role based in Ottawa's west end for an Assistant/Associate/Apprentice Golf Professional at the Canadian Golf & Country Club. The professional will assist in leading day‑to‑day golf operations, including providing exceptional customer service, managing tee sheet reservations, overseeing golf events and tournaments, and maintaining the integrity of the golf experience. Duties also include supervising staff, supporting the practice facility and pro shop operations, providing golf instruction, and performing equipment fittings.

Qualifications

• PGA of Canada Associate Member in good standing or a candidate actively pursuing entry into the PGA of Canada (PGM program student).
• Customer service skills and proven experience in creating a positive and engaging guest experience.
• Basic to advanced golf instruction and coaching skills suitable for players of all skill levels.
• Knowledge of golf equipment, club fitting, and retail operations.
• Strong interpersonal, communication, and teamwork skills.
• Passion for golf and a customer‑first mindset.
• Prior experience working at a golf facility is an asset.
• Prior experience with Lightspeed software is an asset.
