Custodian/Janitor

Job Summary

Canadian Golf & Country Club is seeking dedicated and detail-oriented individuals to join our team as Seasonal Custodial/Janitors. This is a fantastic opportunity to work in a dynamic outdoor environment and contribute to the overall cleanliness and aesthetics of our prestigious golf course. The position is seasonal, running from spring through fall.

Responsibility

· Perform daily cleaning and maintenance of clubhouse facilities, including restrooms, locker rooms, and common areas.

· Sweep, mop, vacuum, and dust clubhouse spaces to ensure a clean and welcoming environment for members and guests.

· Monitor and replenish cleaning supplies in restrooms and other designated areas. (porta potties on course)

· Assist with set-up and breakdown of events and tournaments as needed.

· Work closely with Food and Beverage Manager and Director of Golf to ensure a seamless and well-coordinated cleaning schedule.

· Follow safety guidelines and procedures to create a secure working environment.

· Report any maintenance or repair issues to the appropriate Manager.

Qualifications

· Previous custodial/janitorial experience is a plus.

· Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

· Physical ability to operate lift tables, vacuum, and other cleaning equipment.

· Strong attention to detail and organizational skills

· Basic knowledge of cleaning products and equipment

· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

· Availability to work weekends, holidays and flexible hours based on events and schedules.

· Working hours

· Seasonal position from April 2024 to November 2024. Hours may vary depending on events and scheduling.

Job Types: Full-time, Seasonal, Fixed term contract

Contract length: 7 months

Pay: $22.00-$23.00 per hour

Expected hours: 30 – 40 per week
