THE ROLE
- Planning, organising, and supervising all golf‑related activities, including tournaments, and conducting research and market analysis to propose new activities and tournaments to management upon request.
- Overseeing staff supervision, preparing work schedules, handling the hiring and training of new employees.
- Coordinating and managing the golf section’s equipment in the outdoor store to ensure everything runs smoothly, monitoring calls for tenders, placing orders, receiving merchandise, verifying invoices, labelling, maintenance, and inventory management, and submitting necessary documentation to appropriate teams for action.
QUALIFICATIONS NEEDED
Education, Certifications and Licenses
High school diploma AND several years of experience in administration, recreation, business management, accounting or in a related field
Experience
- In administering outdoor activities and tournaments or competitions
- In budget administration
- In personnel administration
- In using various computer systems and booking software
- In inventory and stocktaking administration
- In applying policies, procedures, regulations and legislation pertaining to the operation of an outdoor centre
- In using software for word processing, spreadsheets, presentations, databases, e‑mail, and Internet browsing
Competencies

- Perform moderate lifting, carrying, pulling and/or pushing (i.e. more than 10 lbs/4.5 kg but less than 50 lbs/23 kg).
- This is an on‑site position with an assigned work location.
- This position may be required to work evenings and weekends.
- This is a seasonal position with an anticipated term of April to October.

Personnel Support Programs contributes to the operational readiness of our Canadian Armed Forces through the provision of fitness, sports, recreation and health promotion programs to military communities across Canada and members while on deployment.
