Salary: €36,605 per year, depending on experience

Working Hours: 39 hours per week

An established and well-maintained golf club in South Central part of Ireland is seeking a motivated and reliable Greenkeeper to join its grounds maintenance team.

The successful candidate will play an important role in maintaining the golf course and surrounding grounds to a consistently high standard.

This position may be suitable for experienced Non-EU candidates with a background in greenkeeping, grounds maintenance, landscaping, horticulture, or a related field.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain golf course areas, including greens, tees, fairways, roughs, and surrounding grounds.
• Mow, trim, edge, fertilise, aerate, and maintain turf as required.
• Assist with seeding, turf care, drainage, irrigation, and general course maintenance.
• Operate and maintain greenkeeping machinery and equipment safely.
• Assist with weed, pest, and disease control.
• Carry out general landscaping and grounds maintenance duties.
• Maintain tools, machinery, and equipment in good working condition.
• Report any maintenance or safety issues to the relevant supervisor.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and professional working environment.
• Work effectively as part of a greenkeeping team and follow daily maintenance schedules.

Requirements

• Previous experience in greenkeeping, grounds maintenance, landscaping, horticulture, or a similar outdoor role is preferred.
• Knowledge of turf and grass maintenance is an advantage.
• Experience operating grounds maintenance machinery is desirable.
• Physically fit and comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions.
• Reliable, hardworking, and willing to learn.
• Good attention to detail and pride in the quality of work.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Basic English communication skills.

Relevant qualifications in greenkeeping, horticulture, landscaping, or turf management are an advantage but are not essential where relevant practical experience can be demonstrated.
