About the Role

Our client is looking for a highly skilled and dedicated Senior Golf Course Superintendent to oversee the meticulous maintenance and presentation of their prestigious golf course in Calgary . This critical role involves managing all aspects of turfgrass management, irrigation systems, pest control, and landscape operations to ensure the highest standards of playability and aesthetic appeal. You will lead a team of groundskeepers, manage budgets, and implement sustainable practices to preserve the course's ecological health and playing conditions throughout the seasons, ensuring an exceptional experience for members and guests.

Key Responsibilities Manage day-to-day operations for turfgrass maintenance, including mowing, fertilization, and aeration. Oversee the operation and maintenance of irrigation systems to ensure efficient water usage. Develop and implement integrated pest and disease management programs. Lead, train, and schedule the groundskeeping team to ensure efficient workflow. Manage the departmental budget, equipment inventory, and procurement of supplies. Requirements Degree or Diploma in Turfgrass Management, Horticulture, or a related field. Minimum 5 years of experience as an Assistant Superintendent or Superintendent. Knowledge of advanced turfgrass science and agronomy. Experience with irrigation system technology and water management.
