Our client is seeking an experienced and dedicated Golf Course Superintendent to oversee the immaculate grounds of their prestigious facility in Toronto . This role is critical to maintaining the aesthetic appeal and playability of the course, ensuring a world-class experience for all members and guests. You will lead a team of groundskeepers, manage all aspects of turf care, and implement sustainable practices to preserve the course's natural beauty and ecological health. This is a hands-on leadership position for a passionate individual committed to horticultural excellence in the Leisure & Sports sector.
Key Responsibilities Develop and implement comprehensive agronomic plans for turf maintenance, including irrigation, fertilization, and pest control. Supervise, train, and manage a team of groundskeepers, ensuring efficient workflow and high-quality workmanship. Oversee the maintenance and repair of all golf course equipment, ensuring safety and operational readiness. Manage course conditioning to meet the highest standards for daily play and special events. Control departmental budget, including labor, materials, and equipment expenses. Ensure compliance with all environmental regulations and promote sustainable course management practices. Requirements Minimum 5 years of progressive experience in golf course management. Degree or diploma in Horticulture, Agronomy, or a related field. Proven knowledge of turfgrass science, disease identification, and integrated pest management. Experience with irrigation systems and maintenance equipment operation.
