About the Role

Our client is seeking a highly experienced and strategic Director of Golf Operations to manage all facets of their esteemed golf club in Ottawa . This senior leadership position is responsible for overseeing golf course maintenance, club house operations, professional shop, and all golf-related programming and events. You will ensure an exceptional experience for all members and guests, while driving profitability and maintaining the club's prestigious reputation. The ideal candidate possesses a deep understanding of golf operations, strong business acumen, and exceptional leadership capabilities.

Key Responsibilities Provide overall strategic leadership and operational management for all golf-related activities, including course management, F&B, retail, and member services. Develop and manage the annual operating budget for golf operations, ensuring financial targets are met or exceeded. Oversee staffing, training, and performance management for all golf operations personnel, including the Golf Superintendent and Head Professional. Implement and maintain high standards for course conditioning, player services, and overall member satisfaction. Develop and execute innovative golf programming, tournaments, and special events to enhance member engagement and attract new clientele. Ensure compliance with all club policies, industry regulations, and safety standards. Requirements Minimum of 7 years of progressive experience in golf club management, with a significant portion in a senior leadership role. Professional designation such as PGA of Canada Class 'A' or equivalent experience in golf management. Proven track record in financial management, strategic planning, and operational excellence. Exceptional leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills. In-depth knowledge of golf course agronomy, club operations, and the hospitality industry.
