Server / Kiosk Attendant – Gorge Vale Golf Club

Gorge Vale Golf Club is looking to add an experienced Server / Kiosk Attendant to our Food & Beverage team.

This is a cross-trained position working between our clubhouse lounge/dining room and on-course kiosk. During the fall and slower golf season, the role will include regular kiosk shifts as well as clubhouse serving shifts, depending on the needs of the department. As we move into the busy summer golf season, the position will transition primarily into a full-time serving role.

This is not a serving-only position. We’re looking for someone who is comfortable working independently in the kiosk as well as providing full table service in the clubhouse.

The role includes

Kiosk

• Opening and closing the on-course kiosk
• Serving alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages
• Serving fresh and packaged food items
• Processing member charges and other payments
• Restocking and maintaining inventory throughout the shift
• Keeping the kiosk clean, organized and ready for service
• Providing friendly and efficient service to members and guests on the course

Clubhouse

• Providing full food and beverage service in the lounge and dining room
• Taking orders and processing member charges
• Serving regular member dining, tournaments, private functions and Club events
• Completing opening and closing duties
• Maintaining clean, stocked and organized service areas
• Working closely with the rest of the FOH and kitchen team during service

What we’re looking for

• Previous serving or hospitality experience
• Valid Serving It Right certification
• Reliable and comfortable working both independently and as part of a team
• Comfortable working in a busy environment
• Strong customer service and communication skills
• Previous private club or golf course experience is an asset
• Experience with Jonas Club Software is an asset

Availability is important for this position.

We need someone with a mix of weekday morning/daytime, evening and weekend availability. This is not an evenings-and-weekends-only role.

Regular Friday morning availability is required, with shifts beginning as early as 7:45am. Other shifts will vary between mornings, daytime and evenings depending on whether you are scheduled in the kiosk or clubhouse.

Wage: $18.25/hour plus gratuities

We’re looking for someone who wants to become a consistent part of our Food & Beverage team. Cross-training between the two areas allows us to provide more consistent hours through the slower golf season, with the position moving primarily into serving as business increases again in the spring and summer.
